Summary:
J&M Industries, Inc.
is seeking to hire a Financial Accounting Analyst.
The person will be responsible for creating practical financial data analysis that assists the decision-makers of the Company.
The person will work closely with the accounting staff and management team, supporting both.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Prepare, distribute and present routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to management and various decision makers of the Company.
Utilize technical skills to interpret large amounts of data, creating reports, charts and graphs to visually understand operational performance.
Ensures accurate transaction records, evaluates financial processing, and controls transaction processes through documentation.
Investigate and provide feedback and solutions to accounting and process issues as they arise.
Manage quarterly physical inventory process, preparing & uploading count sheets, creating variance reports, and final inventory reporting.
Assist with the management of sales tax software and compliance.
Work collaboratively with other accounting staff and management within organization.
Provide administrative and/or clerical support to the department as needed.
Available for special projects.
Reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Skills/Abilities:
Critical math skills and a proven ability with difficult calculations Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to learn quickly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, as well as other accounting software programs Comfort preparing and delivering reports to decision makers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail-skills Education and
Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields preferred 3 - 5 years of relative experience preferred Epicor/Kinetic ERP experience a plus Avalara Tax software experience a plus Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
