Guards monitor the premises and perform facility procedures such as patrolling & facility checks, access control, incident response, surveillance & monitoring, dress code and food compliance, and collaboration with other factory personnel.
Guards are the first line of defense against any unauthorized access, theft, or safety hazards.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Patrolling and Facility Checks:
Conduct regular patrols throughout the factory premises to maintain a safe environment and deter criminal activity.
Premises includes parking areas, docks, and pedestrian areas.
Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine they are secure.
Inspect areas, including production floors, storage areas, furnace, boiler, thermostats, and entry points to identify any security vulnerabilities, safety hazards, property hazards, or irregularities.
Access Control:
Monitor and control access to the factory by verifying credentials, checking identification, and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter.
Assist employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by providing directions and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
Ensure that everyone entering the food factory conforms to FDA dress code Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Observes departing persons to guard against theft of company property Assist with employee badging protocols Incident Response:
Respond promptly to any security incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
Evict trespassers while following legal protocols before relevant authorities may arrive.
Document incidents and write detailed reports for management log review Proactively and reactively protect people and property from harm Warn and/or expel employees who engage in suspicious activity, criminal, or policy violations.
Surveillance and Monitoring:
Use surveillance cameras to monitor the premises and detect any disruptions or unlawful activities.
Review and save surveillance footage for archival during employee investigations.
Observe and report and suspicious activities or persons.
Elmer Candy Policy Enforcement:

Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures according to the Company handbook.
Employee Breakroom
Responsibilities:
Refresh coffee bar as needed Assist with vending machine supplier communications Assist with uniform and floormat contract deliveries and pickups Communicate janitorial needs in common areas, such as radioing for trash pickups Education and Work
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Must be 21
years old.
Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
Training in CPR and first aid is a plus Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong observational skills & attention to detail.
Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality Ethical conduct Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; written and verbal Familiarity with security systems and protocols Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Teamwork orientation Regular and prompt attendance on site is required Ability to pass a criminal background check upon hire and annually Reliable transportation Physical Requirements to Perform this Job:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, bend, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl, use force, carry & push/pull.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to stand & walk for 8

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regular and prompt attendance on site is required.
Must be available to work occasional 12
hr.
shifts and some weekends and holidays.
Ability to pass drug screens Work Environment and Conditions:
Works in a food manufacturing environment where the plant is in operation 1-2 shifts per day.
Climate controlled environment with occasional exposure to high heat and humidity (105 F - 110 F) in kitchen and tank room areas.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in some area.
Overtime/weekend work occasionally necessary.
